Sign-up happens in person, not online
There's no app or website form for the bucket pull — you write your name down at the venue before doors, usually at a table near the entrance. Staff will have signage, but if you don't see it, ask.
Earlier is always better
The bucket isn't first-come-first-performed, but earlier sign-up windows tend to fill with fewer competing names at smaller theaters, and popular stops close sign-ups once the bucket has enough names for the night.
You get sixty seconds — use them on one idea
The sets that land tend to commit to a single premise rather than a rapid string of unrelated one-liners. You won't have time to recover from a slow start, so open with your strongest material.
The panel's reaction is the whole point
Whatever happens after your sixty seconds — praise, a roast, or somewhere in between — is part of the show, not a verdict on whether you should have gotten up there. Some of Kill Tony's most-replayed moments came from sets that didn't land clean.
